Clothing and Accessories
Champion pullover hoodie- I bought one of these sweatshirts at the beginning of April and loved it so much I went back and got another one for myself and one for Nick. They are so soft and comfortable. They wash up well. But the best part is no one can tell that I’m not wearing a bra underneath. It also didn’t hurt that I got them for less than $10!
Murad moisturizer- For the past 4 years, my go-to moisturizer has been Juice Beauty’s Oil-Free Moisturizer. But after receiving my Fab, Fit and Fun box this month I got to try Murad’s Skin Perfecting Moisturizer. I feel in love. It’s so hydrating and unlike other moisturizers, it doesn’t leave a sticky residue on your face. This is now my new go-to moisturizer from here on out.
Home Depot Moving Boxes- This might seem like an odd home good. In fact, I’m not totally sure it’s a home good at all but it’s what I bought most of this month for my home. I have to say that moving boxes can get expensive but these boxes seem to be reasonably priced. I’ve bought mostly medium size boxes which are $1.24 each in my area. I’ve also bought 3 wardrobe boxes which are normally $40 or more but at my Home Depot they are only $16. I appreciate their low prices and they are also good quality boxes that have held up well.
Audible- I really wasn’t into reading until my mid-twenties. After that, I started reading almost every day. As my kids got older it got harder and harder to finish a book. I got a kindle many years ago and paid money every month for Kindle Unlimited but again it was hard to finish a book. I had waffled many times over the years if Audible was worth it. I finally bit the bullet and decided I would do the 30-day free trial and if I didn’t like it I’d just cancel. I won’t be canceling. I’ve already finished 5 books and working on my 6th. For me, it is totally worth it.
Sword and Scale Podcast- I love true crime and serial killers. I know, I’m a freak. But I find the whole thing intriguing. So, when I was searching for a new podcast I found Sword and Scale.
Bullet Journal- I’ve tried almost every planner out there and I always go back to bullet journaling. I finally gave in and bought a Leuchtturm1917 notebook and I’m certain this is it for me. I don’t really like how long it takes me to set it up every month but I only have to do that once a month and then I’m set. I love that I can add whatever I want to it such as a habit tracker or monthly expenses and if something doesn’t work out then I don’t have to add it next month. It’s just so flexible and easy.
Fat brain Toys Spinagain- I went to our local toy store looking for a book for Odin and ended up getting this for Dessa. A very friendly clerk showed it to her while I was looking around and she instantly loved it. This toy can keep her entertained for over 20 minutes which is amazing for little kids who can’t even sit through a 10-minute cartoon. I also like that it is good quality and doesn’t feel like it would break or fall apart.
