As many of you have probably noticed I took 2 months off of blogging. I just needed to hit the reset button on things and recharge a bit. Although I want to change some things on my blog, my monthly goals will not be going away. I am still going to be setting 5 monthly goals that I will track throughout the month and will let you know how I do. Here are my goals for March
I am going to post 1 blog per week. I’ve noticed that a lot of my blog posts happen at the very beginning and very end of every month while the middle of the month is void of content. Going forward I want to schedule out my posts better so there is one every week.
Read everyday. I’ve still got a huge stack of books I haven’t touch and about 15 unread books on my Kindle. Life gets busy and it’s hard to sit and read when you can think of other productive things that need to be done. I’ve found that reading really recharges me and that it’s okay to take a break to recharge.
Take 1 picture everyday. For a while I was taking a picture everyday and posting it to my Instagram account. I love looking back on those pictures because it reminds me of what life was like then. I miss having those moments captured so I can go back and see them. I’ve signed up for the 100 Days of Happiness Challenge twice to hold myself accountable and it worked. So in March I plan to sign up again and take a picture of something that makes me happy everyday.
Get my insomnia under control. For the past 2 months I have had really bad insomnia. This happens from time to time with me. Some of it has to do with me being a night owl and some from my anxiety. Either way, my insomnia has gotten really bad and I don’t think I can handle much more. My plan to fix this is to turn off all screens by 10 p.m. and drink camomile tea. I know that I could take melatonin capsules but I’d like to take a more natural approach to begin with.
Exercise 10 minutes or more a day. I think part of my insomnia problem is that I don’t really move throughout the day. I walk around my house or the grocery store but not much else. I want to spend at least 10 minutes exerting real energy which should make sleep come easier.
