After receiving my 2 lovely companions above I came to the conclusion that I needed to redo my summer bucket list. There were a lot of things I missed and things I wanted to add more detail to. I’ve split my list into 3 groups: things I want to do here at home in Seattle, as well as places here to eat and drink (lots of coffee to try). I also added road trips that I plan to take this summer with my boys. You may also notice that I completed some of these already, which I marked. I know it technically isn’t summer but this is a big list so I figured starting now wasn’t a bad idea. Keep reading to see the list!

Road Trips
- The Olympic Peninsula Loop- This trip will start in Olympia and will take us to Ruby Beach, Hoh Rainforest to walk the Hall of Moss trail, on to Forks where Second and Third Beach are located. We are going to diverge from the original plan and go to La Push and see First Beach on the way. Then it is on to Lake Cresent, Port Angeles and Hurricane Ridge with a stop in Port Townsend. Lastly we will go to the Staircase and then back to Olympia. We are planning a 7 to 10 day trip for this because I really want see everything and have plenty of time to spend at every location.
This is the road trip I want to take most this summer. - Mt Rainier Scenic Byways- Starting from Seattle we plan to make a giant loop around Mt Rainier. We plan to make stops in Elbe, Ashford, Longmire, Narada Falls, Reflection Lakes, White Pass, Boulder Cave, Chinook Pass, Federation Forest State Park and more. Since a lot of these stops will be in very small towns or view points, we only plan for 3 to 4 days on the road.
- Highway 101 Oregon Coast- Now this trip isn’t going to be happening in Washington like the title above suggests, but in our neighboring state Oregon. I have always wanted to drive the Oregon Coast because I have seen so many amazing and beautiful photos of it. I don’t want to miss the opportunity because I never know where I’ll be in a year. So, this trip will officially start in Astoria, Oregon even though we will start driving in Seattle. From Astoria we will head south to Tillamook, Newport, Cape Perpetua, Florence, Coos Bay, Port Orford and lastly Brookings. We haven’t officially decided how many days we want to spend on this trip but I’m thinking around 5.
